Description
This study aims to evaluate the impact of a psychomotor intervention in the development of the psychomotor profile, the reading and writing skills in a 16 year old male with fetal alcohol syndrome, using an water environment. The psychomotor profile was evaluated through Víctor da Fonseca's Psychomotor Observation Battery and the reading and writing skills through a grid of words evaluating the number of words and the speed of reading and writing. A psychomotor intervention program was applied, simultaneously with reading and writing, in two contexts, the classroom and aquatic environment. At the end of the program, a new evaluation was performed, using the same method of the initial process, trying to determine possible evolutions in the domains that were weaker. The individual has improved in the psychomotor factors such as balance and lateralization, also showed improvements in the number of globalized words, as well as an improvement in the graphic quality.
