A região de Segura é uma área mineira actualmente abandonada, tendo sido explorada para Sn, W, Ba, PB e Zn entre 1942 e 1953. Os jazigos minerais são filões de pegmatito granítico estanífero-litinífero, filões de quartzo com cassiterite e volframite e filões de quartzo com barite, galena e blenda. Os pegmatitos graníticos e os filões de quartzo mineralizados intruíram dominantemente o Complexo Xisto-Metagrauváquico, de idade Câmbrica, embora alguns atravessem também os granitos hercínicos. A cassiterite dos pegmatitos estanífero-litiníferos é zonada e possui exsoluções de mangano-columbite e de magano-ferrocolumbite, particularmente nas zonas escuras. A cassiterite dos filões de quartzo com cassiterite e volframite não é zonada e não apresenta exsoluções. A cassiterite destes filões de quartzo é mais rica em Ti e mais pobre em Nb e Nb+Ta do que a cassiterite dos pegmatitos. A volframite ocorre apenas nos filões de quartzo com cassietrite e volframite e é enriquecida na componente ferberite. Nestes filões de quartzo, foram, ainda, encontrados moscovite, pirrotite, arsenopirite, pirite, blenda, calcopirite, estanite, matildite e schapbachite. Nos filões de quartzo com barite, galena e blenda, ocorrem conjuntamente cristais de apatite, moscovite, clorite, cobaltite, pirite e calcopirite. A barite tem composição homogénea.

It is a fact that the world is aging and the developed countries are the most affected by this reality. In consequence, the majority of the population comprehends elderly people. The present knowledge society is characterized by technologies, digital devices and by the so called ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and most present-day activities uses those devices. Recently, several expressions and services have introduced the ‘e’ and it is common to talk about e-commerce, e-learning, e-banking, e-government, e-Health… it means that citizens must be digitally literate to deal with and use those services as a routine of their everyday life. However there are a large number of people who have not the necessary digital skills and consequently they become info-excluded. The group of the info-excluded is represented by women, people with a low level of literacy, the unemployed, and the elderly. Being sure that the elderly will constitute in the future (and in the present) the greater percentage of the citizens it is urgent to promote initiatives in order to train those citizens in ICT. The European Union already felt that need and therefore several action plans were launched (e.g. The Riga Declaration; i2010 e-Inclusion Initiative). Is it consensual that ICT will promote a better quality of life so the elderly will benefit from it in order to promote an adequate active aging. It is the aim of this article to discuss the main initiatives carried on and present the main obstacles, advantages, and some clues for the near future for the use of ICT by elderly people.
In this article we analyse the different representations that the character
Peter Pan, from James Barrie ’s novel Peter Pan, first published in 1911,
have assumed over more than a century in movie adaptations (i.e. in 1924,
1953, 2003 and 2015). The complexity of this character, in his interior
dilemmas, undergoes different metamorphoses in narrative processes
of transliterary and multimodal adaptations, where the role of space in
the construction of the literary character is crucial. We are interested in
the potential of the character and the discursive strategies employed to
represent the relationships between real worlds and worlds beyond the
real, along with ways of looking at childhood and adulthood, the myth of
eternal childhood and its reverse complex of loneliness. The refiguration
of the character is also materialized through its affective relationships with
others, partly conditioned by diverse dominant social values in the XX
and XXI centuries, along with issues of gender that are present in Peter
Pan's relationships with female characters, namely Wendy, Tinkerbell,
and the maternal figure.
A região de Segura é uma área mineira abandonada com os seus rejeitados expostos ao longo dos últimos 50 anos. Na avaliação do risco de contaminação em arsénio nas águas, utilizou-se uma metodologia geoestatística não paramétrica – krigagem da indicatriz – selecionando dois valores de corte. O primeiro correspondendo ao 3.º quartil da distribuição (Kl1=0,05mg/L-valor de referência) representa a vulnerabilidade específica. Para o segundo valor de corte foi considerado o teor de fundo coincidente com o 1.º quartil da distribuição e representando a vulnerabilidade intrínseca (Kl1=valor de fundo). Os mapas de iso-probabilidades mostram fortes anomalias associadas às atividades mineiras. Junto da povoação de Segura, a probabilidade do teor em As exceder o valor de referência, é elevada embora menor do que a probabilidade em ultrapassar o valor de fundo. As anomalias de As revelam uma elevada probabilidade das águas se encontrarem contaminadas não devendo ser utilizadas para consumo humano.
