Description
The actual stage report results from the apresentation and reflection about Supervised Practice of Primary School, integrated in the 2nd cycle of studies, Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, taught in Escola Superior de Educação de Castelo Branco. We chose as investigation´s theme “Animals in portuguese traditional tales – power relationships” This choice is justified by the fact we consider this work besides being interesting for any age group, is, in our opinion, very important in the Primary School because of the spontaneous emotional connection that students at this age often have with animals, as well as the reflection can allow about the role of relationships between weak characters and strong characters. The Supervised Practice provided the concrete analysis of the relation between concepts of big/small, in what concerns about physical size of animal, as well as psychological characteristics of the animal (personified) and their implications on the operating dynamic in a group / society. The methodology developed was research/action and the techniques of data recoil were observation, field notes, photographic records and documents of activities record, texts and draws. The analysis of results has with aim find out if occur alterations in the form how students face the power relationships between animals and, symbolically, between human beings. Making one phase that recoils multiples experiences, reflexive moments e and diverse learnings, the supervised practice allowed us a close contact with teacher´s double function – to teach and to investigate. The union of theory and practice is an indispensable way for the effectiveness of success, either for teacher or for students.
