Description
Espetro do Autismo.
Autismo.
Abstract : This study intends to investigate what adequacy should be carried out in piano teaching to respond to the needs of students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The research was guided by the assumptions of Inclusive Education and the importance of Music Therapy in the teaching of piano to children with special educational needs and those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The study comprised an initial, exploratory phase that allowed us to formulate the starting question and the objectives to be achieved. Then the literature review was carried out, which allowed the elaboration of the theoretical framework of the work. The universe of participants was defined, the observation script and the protocol of the interview were elaborated as instruments of data collection. From the analysis of observation data and interview content, it was possible to verify that the piano, despite being a solo and lead instrument, has the potential to be used in music therapy and, particularly, in students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. It was also possible, through this study, to understand the importance of adequate training, basically in the context of Special Educational Needs in the perspective of promoting a fairer, more just school through Inclusive Education
