Description
Abstract : This work was carried out in the context of an internship, in the field of Fashion and Textile Design, in the brand Susana Bettencourt. The student investigated the planning of sustainable fashion design collections, thus reaching the question of internship: How can the fashion designer plan the development of products to reduce waste and reuse materials in a sustainable collection? Therefore, the objective of this work was to respond to the problem found, through an internship. For this, active interventional methodologies (experience) and non-interventional methodologies (research and observation) were used to achieve this objective. Being versatile today is one of the most important requirements to thrive in the world of work, not just in fashion. At this stage, the master's student had the opportunity to perform numerous tasks that a fashion designer has to do, even though it has not directly to do with the area. Thus, this experience allowed the master's student to study the theme of sustainability and start her professional life. The focus of this report is the study of sustainability. The aim is to raise awareness of some actions that are already being taken in the fashion industry, in the search for more environmentally friendly products and processes, whether through reduced consumption of materials, the use of more sustainable fibers or even in the awareness of consumers.
