Dissertação apresentada à Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco para cumprimento dos requisitos necessários à obtenção do grau de Mestre em Atividade Física.
A presente investigação tem como principal propósito verificar se existe correlação entre o imagery e as habilidades técnicas na condução de bola no futebol e se existem diferenças estatisticamente significativas nas diferentes modalidades do imagery (cinestésica, visual interna e visual externa) em praticantes de futebol. Pretende também contribuir para a compreensão do conceito de imagery, podendo auxiliar em estudos futuros. A amostra foi constituída por cinquenta e três (53) atletas com idades compreendidas entre os 13 (nascidos em 2006) e os 19 anos (nascidos em 2001), de natureza intencional, por conveniência. Foram aplicados dois instrumentos, com o objetivo de quantificar a habilidade de imagery do sujeito, na representação das modalidades cinestésicas, visual interna e visual externa, o Movement Imagery Questionnaire – 3 (MIQ-3) versão Portuguesa (Mendes et al, 2016), para verificação das habilidades técnicas no futebol foi realizado o teste específico de condução de bola proposto por Matos (2012). Os dados obtidos foram tratados no S.P.S.S. 21.0, através da estatística descritiva, mediante a frequência de ocorrências, percentuais relativos e absolutos, média e desvio padrão. Para a análise inferencial, recorremos ao teste kolmogorov Sminorv para testar a normalidade dos dados e aos testes não-paramétricos de Spearman, Kruskall Wallis e Mann-Whitney. Os resultados obtidos mostram-nos que indivíduos com maior capacidade de imagery obtiveram melhores resultados apenas em um teste de habilidades técnicas especificas de futebol (condução de bola sinuosa), comparativamente aos indivíduos com menor capacidade, apresentando uma correlação fraca positiva (0,1 ≤ r < 0,5). Os resultados do MIQ-3 indicaram que os indivíduos apresentam diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre a modalidade cinestésica quando comparada com a modalidade visual interna e visual externa. Os sujeitos apresentaram melhores resultados na modalidade visual externa, sugerindo-a como melhor método de intervenção de imagery em atletas de futebol.
This research has as main purpose to check whether there is correlation between the imagery and technical skills on the ball driving in football and if there are statistically significant differences in the different modes of imagery (kinesthetic, visual internal and external visual) in soccer players. Also intends to contribute to the understanding of the concept of imagery, and may help in future studies. The sample consisted of fifty-three (53) athletes aged 13 (born in 2006) and 19 years (born in 2001), intentional nature, for convenience. Two instruments were applied, in order to quantify the imagery ability of the subject, the representation of kinesthetic modalities, internal visual and external look, the Movement Imagery Questionnaire - 3 (MIQ-3) English version (Mendes et al, 2016), for verification of technical skills in football was performed specific test ball driving proposed by Matos (2012). The data were processed in S.P.S.S. 21.0, using descriptive statistics, by the frequency of occurrence, percentage relative and absolute, mean and standard deviation. For the inferential analysis, we used the kolmogorov Smirnov test to test the normality of the data and the nonparametric tests of Spearman, Kruskall Wallis and Mann-Whitney. The results show us that individuals with higher imagery capacity obtained better results only in one specific technical soccer skills test (winding ball driving), compared to subjects with lower capacity, presenting a positive weak correlation (0.1 ≤ r <0.5). The MIQ-3 results indicated that individuals have statistically significant differences between the kinesthetic mode when compared with the internal and external visual mode. The subjects performed better on the outside visual modality, suggesting it as best imagery intervention method in soccer players.
