Description
Abstract : This report focuses on the Supervised Teaching Course for students who attended Specialized Teaching of Music, at the Music Conservatory in Santarém, during the 2015/2016 academic year. Chapter One focuses on the description of, and reflection on, the internship that is part of the supervised teaching course, which includes the characterization of the school and classes, the planning, teaching strategies developed, and class reflections. Chapter Two refers us to the research study entitled "The Choral Music: from enjoying singing to the development of skills in Music Education", which aimed to assess how students can learn music from a more physical, emotional and immediate perspective through singing. We focus specifically on choral singing, that is, singing pieces in a group context that are contents of the Class Set. Furthermore, this second chapter highlights the notion of the teacher-researcher, who is concerned with his teaching practices in order to understand them better, and to question them, in order to find innovative answers that will lead to the improvement of teaching and learning of music. Moreover, we focused especially on whether students like and consider it important to sing in Music Education classes. More specifically, we wanted to know if they are aware that this strategy allows them to learn music theory better, and get a better understanding with musical experiences towards the development of musical skills.
