Description
Abstract : The present work is realized within the scope of the masters in teaching of the music - instrument and music of set and presents the practice of supervised teaching and the realized investigation. The first part presents the supervised teaching practice, which consisted of teaching and accompanying a student in violin lessons and a class of ensemble, in this case, the General Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music of São José da Guarda. The second part presents the study about the importance of the presence of parents in violin classes in the evolution of student learning in specialized music education. It is a case study that adopts a mixed methodology, that is, quantitative and qualitative, in which three teachers and five students participate. The data collection instruments used were the observation grids and the questionnaire survey (one applied to students and the other applied to teachers). The results show that the presence of the parents influences the students' performance in violin classes, but in some cases the presence inhibits the students and in other cases stimulates them.
