Description
Abstract : This work aims to offer to the musical community elements of improvisational creation through the investigation and identification of the different and common characteristics that stimulate creativity in baroque and contemporary improvisation. For the accomplishment of this task, in addition to the bibliographic research on improvisation techniques in both languages, researches were carried out to demonstrate the creative thinking in both models of improvisation. It was observed that, in addition to dealing with the aesthetic-functional peculiarities of each language, both musical languages require a cognitive-perception capacity of the improviser to be used in real time performance.
