Description
Apenas estão disponíveis o resumo e os metadados. Manuel de Tavares (c. 1585-1638) was a Portuguese composer who accomplished his professional career in several Spanish cathedrals and occupied the position of Master of chapel in Las Palmas, in Gran Canária between 1631 and 1638. In this city the composer developed and reinforced the polychoral style. From this core of pieces which remain till the present days we can find a polychoral mass. So, this paper is about the characterization of this mass according to the following items: codicological analysis and from the musical contents and its normal framing; and between text and music and polychoral writing: type of voices and combination of clefs, movement of parts from bass and harmonical independence in tutti passage and antiformal change. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion
