Description
Conhecendo algumas obras,
Abstract : In teaching clarinet practice there is a wide range of studies and contemporary repertoire, as well as literature on pedagogy and methodologies, which are essential tools to complement the teaching practice. However, for the most part, this bibliography refers to teaching the clarinet at a more advanced level, being more suitable for teaching at a higher level. Thus, with regard to secondary level clarinet, there is very little information on modern pedagogy appropriate for these grades. Acknowledging some works, studies and modern techniques which can be adapted to the teaching of clarinet at secondary level, but are not properly inserted in the syllabus of conservatories, academies and professional schools, this work intends to systematize the range of appropriate repertoire, by elaborating a compendium which can list these resources at the secondary level in a coherent and objective way. It considers the following parameters: contextualization of Contemporary Music, theoretical and practical approach to various techniques and the encouragement of this musical language. This paper is organized into two distinct sections: the first arises from the action developed during supervised teaching practice, held in Sintra Conservatory of Music with a 6th grade Clarinet student; the second section is the artistic education project entitled Clarinet Compendium: for a systematization of the most relevant contemporary repertoire in secondary education, which aims to be a useful tool, from a theoretical and practical point of view, reducing some of the existing gaps in secondary education and in the contemporary music context.
