Description
Abstract : This project is part of the Master's Degree in Graphic Design at the Escola Supe-rior de Artes Aplicadas do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, in association with the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, with a focus on commu-nication design. A mixed methodology, non-interventionist (observation and research) and inter-ventionist (active research) were applied. The non-interventionist methodology consisted of a literature review, while the interventionist research comes from an exploratory case study, specifically, an internship. This research development proposal focused on communication design aims to achieve two objectives: Firstly, simplifying the conveyance of information related to circular economy, as a resource management method, serving both companies and entrepreneurs, but also the public in general in the knowledge of the process and way of application in their personal lives, contributing to a better control of re-sources and a reduction of waste in the environment. Secondly, it’s intended to communicate the Idanha FoodLab/Food4Sustainabil-ity Collaborative Laboratory in a differentiated way in the context of agri-food re-search, through the development of a visual identity system and multiple supports. It is expected, with the obtained results, to contribute to the improvement of the transmission of complex concepts and scientific communication, highlighting the role of graphic design in the definition of visual identity and communication strate-gies in the agri-food sector, specifically in the circular economy.
